Apple Cider Whiskey Sparkler (serves 6-8)
For the mulled cider:
1 quart apple cider
3 cinnamon sticks
1 inch piece peeled ginger
3 whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Peels and juice from two lemons
Peel and juice from one orange
To add afterwards:
8-ounces honey-flavored whiskey
1 bottle Prosecco
Apple slices (optional)
Directions: Heat apple cider ingredients over low heat for 1 hour. Strain and pour into pitcher. Add whiskey. Ladle into glasses, halfway full, and top with Prosecco. Garnish with apple slices.
