Runway to Aisle: Bridesmaid Dresses

Posted by

Vineyard by Priscilla of Boston blue one-shoulder bridesmaid dress.

I often fall in love with looks I see on bridal runways, but it's not so often that I can picture them on real-life, happy-faced bridesmaids. The models rarely look enthused enough for my taste. So I love when I spot gowns from larger-than-life fashion shows in perfectly quaint real weddings.

Bridesmaids at a wedding in Destin, Florida (above, right) wore the same flowy gown from Vineyard by Priscilla of Boston that we shared from Bridal Fashion Week a few seasons ago (above, left). The dress takes on a whole new life walking down a sandy aisle, doesn't it? Bright bouquets of fuchsia orchids give the blue extra oomph.

Did a runway look inspire your wedding gown or your maids' dresses?

  • This is all girls dream of the menu, I will have a learn from you and ii will useful some day.

  • That blue one-shoulder bridesmaid dress sure looks stunning. The color perfectly fits the beach wedding. I got the design of my bridemaids' dress just from searching online. It was red with a knee-length skirt and a sweetheart neckline. Simple and it turned out really nice.
