Honeymoon Diary: Jamie & Steven Fall Hard for Paris
Posted by Shira Savada
Jamie and Steven chose to honeymoon in the City of Light and during their time there, the newlyweds had an extra-special event on their itinerary. Read on for the groom's account, and after perusing the gallery below, hop over here to see even more pics!
"I wanted to document part of our honeymoon, and so I commissioned Chloe Browne of Caught the Light Photography to follow us for a day. This photo session was a surprise gift to Jamie. I am so glad that we did this because it ended up being one of our favorite days of the trip, as we spent most of the day laughing and having a great time. We love these photos because we are so much more relaxed than we were on our wedding day." -Steven
3 This gentlemen making kettle corn wanted to come to America and stay on our couch, and he insisted on writing down his information for us, so we could contact him.
6 We decided to dress up in the evenings and go out for nice dinners. I designed and made a black lace dress shortly before the honeymoon, and found these Valentino shoes that were nearly a perfect match.
7 Jamie in the dress I made. We wanted the dress to be reminiscent of the elegant 1950s with the tea-length full skirt.
10 This last dress was a vintage dress that was reshaped and modernized for Jamie.
11 I surprised Jamie on the honeymoon with a vintage 65 karat smokey quartz necklace that paired perfectly with the gown.
16 We stopped by Laduree, the patisserie that inspired much of our wedding, and then proceeded to a formal dinner at the Ritz Carlton.
18 We love that we have photos to document our storybook honeymoon.
