Over on online magazine Rookie, I came across this amazing idea. I've seen books used as centerpieces and favors, but never as ceiling art. How original! It'd definitely give your guests a reason to look up.
Getting married outdoors? Try stringing books from trees or an overhead trellis for a similar effect. What do you think?

Outside the books might bang around or get damp is set up the night before. I hope the books are old and not readable anymore because there would be damage. I wouldn't use it as a wedding decoration.

Interesting and inspired, but easy, no. To hang something like this, on a high ceiling, securely and safely, takes time. Time, extension ladders, the proper tools and fasteners would be needed. I wonder, how many venues would allow this? Would the Fire Marshal for the locale sign off on it?
I think the idea might work with the right theme, but I would be concerned with books hovering over tables and guests.
