I've never been an advocate for dancing photos at weddings. Capturing a flattering photo of an innocent (sometimes intoxicated) wedding guest as she gets down with her bad self seems damn near impossible. I'd sworn off any photographer of mine being allowed on or near the dance floor -- until I saw these shots.
How adorable are these people?! I'm not sure whether to credit photog Shannen Norman or the guests for bringing their boogying A-game. Either way, I simply had to share them in case any of you are dance-floor-photo skeptics like me.
Will you have your photographer out on the dance floor?

I love dance floor photos especially this set! They're usually fun and yes, while some may not be the most 'flattering,' it definitely depicts a good time had by all. Lighthearted and fun
Great post!

I don't deliver any photos to my couples that doesn't make them - and myself - look good. Good rule of thumb, especially for the end of the night craziness!

Most dance floor photos may not be 'wedding album appropriate,' but when looking at family & friends having a blast on the dance floor ten years later, they will be the images that will definitely make them smile!

My absolute favorite wedding photos to see are from the dance floor! I could take or leave posed photos, but for my own wedding, my fiance and I hired a photographer specifically for his ability to take candids, especially of people enjoying themselves!
