Love it! Flower Crowns

Posted by

Looking for a twist on the traditional veil but don't consider yourself a glam hair comb kind of girl? Your florist has you covered. My latest favorite accessory for brides (and even 'maids) is a floral wreath. Best worn with hair long and loose, set the wreath back on the crown of your head rather than across your forehead to ensure your look is modern and laid-back, and keeps attention on your face. Check out some of my favorites from this season's most talked-about wedding parties.

When fashion blogger Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller wed earlier this summer in a haute hotel celebration in Manhattan, she wore this crown by Tantawan Bloom to compliment her fluttery Marchesa gown, custom Rebecca Minkoff motorcycle jacket, and piles of necklaces and crystal cuffs. To keep the theme consistent, her bridesmaids sported wreaths by Cult Gaia.

With their wreaths of baby's breath, the adorable flower girls at model Caroline Trentini's wedding in Brazil were a great opening act to her walk down the aisle.

At jewelry designer Pamela Love's garden wedding to Matthew Nelson in Montauk, she wore custom Mara Hoffman, he wore Billy Reid, and in her hair she wore this magnificent crown made of wildflowers.
