If Burger King didn't already own it, Sandals' motto for their new wedding program could totally be "have it your way." In a nutshell, it's all about the customization, which you know we L-O-V-E. I was just on their site testing it out, so I thought I'd give you the rundown as to how it works: You start out by selecting your destination. (Side note: While messing around on their site, I found out that you can tie the knot on the private island above that's part of the Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I mean, c'mon, so awesome.) Next, you choose your colors, and then the program moves you into the "wedding items" section where you're faced with a load of options for your flowers, table linens, cake, and more. Everything's in the palette you just chose, and the prices of each option are right there. Say you picked white and tangerine, like I did. For bouquets, it'll show you all-white roses and calla lilies, orange pin-cushion flowers accented with tropical leaves, orangey-white Asiatic lilies, and many more. You can keep going back and tweaking your hues to see what else pops up.
Here's a look at some of what they're offering in my fake white-and-tangerine color scheme for ceremonies, centerpieces, and cakes:
If you live in the New York area, tomorrow Sandals is having a free, one-day event in Grand Central Station's Vanderbilt Hall to ring in this new program. They've got some rad interactive stuff planned—like you'll be able to customize your wedding, then step into it courtesy of a green screen—and they'll be giving away a bunch of free vacays, so swing by on your lunch hour.
