Bridal Market: Claire Pettibone

Posted by

For this collection, Claire was inspired by her 1920s bohemian grandmother and put "a good dose of her free spirit" into this collection. Claire has been looking at her grandmother's gown (a mauve scalloped silk dress with a velvet sash at the hip), as well as the intricate embroidered linens her grandmother made by hand and her gold-rimmed china with delicate painted roses. Claire says, "The sweet and simple details of our heirlooms—lace linens, golden lockets, fine china—don't they make lovely inspiration for a wedding dress?" Claire has a distinctive point of view and these new gowns feel like modern family heirlooms.

This guipure embroidered tulle gown with cotton underlay and lace trim is so relaxed and feminine. It's perfect for a destination wedding.
