Yesterday, our office was flooded with the dramatic drone of bagpipes thanks to these two lads pictured above (and the drummer behind them). Talk about a mood changer! There were smiles all around and everyone excitedly got out of their seats. It made me think of some of the weddings we've seen that featured bagpipers, like Laurel and Joel who surprised guests with the music as they entered the reception. It's such an unexpected touch to a wedding—albeit a very specific cultural one. Are you thinking of using music to personalize your ceremony or reception?

I think it's great for a traditional Irish wedding. I don't think that it's something anyone could pull off at their wedding, especially when I know not everyone even likes bagpipes.

I hope people like bagpipers. We just hired our for our April 2012 wedding. The piper only plays for about 10 mins.(if you want) I think it will suit our wedding as it is Celtic themed. My parents are from Wales and my Fiances family is from Ireland. Both my fiance and father are wearing Kilts!
