Behind-the-Scenes at This Weekend's Blogger Luncheon

Posted by

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the photos from The Wedding Party event that we co-hosted with The Wedding Library at The New York Palace Hotel. If you haven’t checked it out, be sure to look through the list of vendors, because the event was packed with great sources. Sunday was quite a whirlwind, but I was fortunate enough to get to sit down for lunch and catch up with some of my favorite wedding bloggers including Vané from Brooklyn Bride, Xochitl from Always a Bridesmaid, Tanya from Save the Date for Cupcakes, Christine from Merci New York, and Megan and Bobbie from the TODAY Show. I am so used to keeping up with these girls by following their tweets and posts so it really was a treat to actually sit down face to face.

I was thrilled that our lunch was served on the new Martha Stewart Fine Bone China collection that’s available for registry at Macy’s. After looking at the new designs at our offices, it was a really great to actually get to use it! Each guest dined a different place setting so we could preview all of the patterns (I think the Sky Song collection with the bird pattern was the favorite!) As a finishing touch, place cards from Russell + Hazel were calligraphed by Blooming Quill with each guest’s name.

In lieu of flowers, the table was beautifully decorated with cake domes from the Martha Stewart Collection at Macy’s. Each was filled with an assortment of delicious sweets from One Girl Cookies. I love this idea for a double-duty decoration for a bridal shower.

I have to admit, when I see these china and cake domes it makes me want to register all over again! I’ve been thinking about which one to get for a recently engaged friend of mine, but it’s so hard to choose just one. Do you have a favorite? See the photos below for a closer look at our gathering.
