Rustic With Style, Part Two

Posted by

In my post last week I shared some of the details from the cocktail hour of our chic, rustic Grasmere Farm wedding. Today I'm sharing a peek at the beautiful flowers and table settings we created for the dining room.

The bride wanted to work with a slightly preppy color palette of navy blue, emerald green, ivory and pale blue. Everything was classic, lush and vibrant, which was perfect for the neutral backdrop of the stone and wood of the barn.

We covered the barn floor with carpet in a warm sisal tone and the linens were a chic textured fabric in a golden rattan tone. We stayed away from the expected "barn" wedding ingredients such as mason jars, gingham, and twine. Instead, the details elevated the very rustic setting to a level of classic elegance. Always remember you can add interest and beauty to a rustic setting like Grasmere by contrasting the existing elements with something more finished and refined. Next week I will share some of the printed details from Cheree Berry!

We filled elegant vintage silver and porcelain containers with lush fern, passion vine, vibrant hydrangea, and romantic roses.

The round tables featured one large central arrangement and the rectangular tables were filled with a series of smaller bouquets.

The warmth of the linens combined with the white washed chairs and neutral carpet provided the perfect backdrop for the navy and green palette. And I love the navy charger plates with the green edge of the menu cards.

Stay tuned for more details from the beautiful wedding next week!
