On a memorable day in New York City (the day the gay marriage law was passed), Andrew and I headed to the High Line for a photo shoot with Dasha Wright of Hope Spring Photo. The session was complimentary, a gift certificate slipped into the gift bag I received at an event hosted by The Wedding Library at The Palace Hotel. This shoot was also the perfect opportunity to test out makeup artist Jaclyn Accetta from Metamorphosis New York.
We had no idea that the High Line would be closed due a parade, but we improvised and headed over the West Side Highway and Piers to take photos along the waterfont instead. If you're a Big Apple bride, there are so many scenic places to shoot in New York, and the area around Chelsea Piers makes a great backdrop.
In the end, Andrew and I are both so glad we just went with the flow instead of rescheduling. We loved how the pictures turned out. Our spontaneity paid off!
