What if you could send a beautiful letterpress card—suitable for a wedding thank-you note—from your phone?
I was skeptical, but Apple's new Cards app lets you do just that. After downloading the free app, just choose a photo from your phone, write a message, and customize the card (there are 21 options in categories like love, birthdays, and travel). Enter the address details or import them from your contact list, then hit send and wait to receive a message on the day the card is set to be delivered. Each card costs $2.99, which includes postage within the U.S. (international cards are $4.99).
More importantly, the presentation is lovely: the matte letterpress cards arrive in envelopes that bear addresses in a calligraphed script and have custom-designed cute heart stamps. You can't tell from the photo I took of a sample card (above), but the paper is a substantial weight cotton. It's a great idea for impromptu thank-yous and mementos from your honeymoon.

But I take it the message inside the card is typed? I would not be happy receiving that as a guest, sorry.
