This past weekend I attended the coolest (and most fun!) bachelorette party I've ever been to. Originally the plan was to start the evening at a salon so everyone could get mani/pedis. But the bride-to-be's 'maids had a genius idea: They hosted a nail-art party in her house. They hired a local nail artist to come over, and during the course of two hours she painted, studded, and glittered a surprising number of digits. The idea trumped going to a salon in every way: The results were way more interesting (see below), the party was much looser, and it ended up being cheaper.
My custom "Aztec Princess" mani (obviously not wedding-day appropriate) with square gold studs on some fingers.
If you can't find a nail artist who makes house calls, gather supplies from Sephora or the drugstore and do one another's nails. I promise you'll have a great time.
