There are a few nights in my life that I have felt really beautiful, and they were all nights when my best friend, makeup artist Susie Sobol, did my makeup.
Susie is always doing something amazing. She just finished working on the Jimmy Choo 2012 Resort campaign and glamming up models for the Barneys New York catalog. And, in addition to editorial photo shoots and collaborating with designers like Shipley and Halmos and Rogan to create the makeup look for their clothing collections, Susie has worked alongside global makeup artists like Diane Kendal, Tom Pecheux, and Francois Nars.
She is truly an expert in her craft, and these are her must-have products for your big day.
Metamour Immortelle Regenerative Mist:
"For my brides, I spray their faces with this mist before and after applying their makeup. This spray is like liquid gold, thanks to its rose water, aloe, and immortelle-flower oil blend that soothes the skin (and your nerves). And after your ceremony, spritz it on again to refresh your makeup -- it'll look as if it was just applied!"
"Applied with a brush, this smudgeproof cream liner is super versatile: Blend it out with your finger or a cotton swab to achieve a soft, smoky eye; draw a 'wing' from the end of your lash line toward your temple for a retro-cool vibe; or make a thin line right along your top lash line and trace it with eyeshadow for a stay-put classic look. I recommend Blacktrack for a true ebony or Dipdown for a warm, brown tone."
