As we settle into summer, I'm so excited to see all of my potted herbs looking more and more beautiful with each day of warm sunshine. Herbs are one of my favorite materials to use in floral arrangements and bouquets. They add texture and fragrance to any collection of blooms, and there are so many to choose from! Some of my loves include rosemary, lemon verbena, purple basil, and mint. If your florist doesn't have access to cut bundles of fresh herbs, try your local farmers market or garden center for mature plants that can be cut back or trimmed.
Potted herbs are a perfect solution for an earth-friendly (and budget-conscious) centerpiece idea. And at the end of the evening, your guests will love taking them home as favors. Look at these images from the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings, and click on each link for directions on how to create your own herb masterpiece.
This centerpiece features different herb plants contained in very clean, modern vessels.
This is a more whimsical, rustic option for a potted herb centerpiece. Customize your containers by choosing the perfect paint color for the pots.
Are you in love with fresh herbs? How do you plan to incorporate these fragrant accents into your wedding decor?
