Before I got married, I never thought I'd wear a veil. It seemed stuffy to me, and not the least bit modern. But as my wedding got closer, I realized that I wouldn't feel like a bride without one. (I also realized that there are tons of really modern-looking styles to choose from!) So when the big day rolled around, I really went for it with a 15-foot long veil made from a single piece of super-sheer tulle. I love the way it trailed behind me as I walked down the aisle, and I thought it looked so pretty in photos.
Here's one of me with my dad-- it's one of my favorite moments!
If you're hemming and hawing over wearing a veil, just try a few on and see what you think! You might be surprised, like I was, to find something you love. One of my favorite sites for unique styles is Twigs & Honey. I think I'd go with this one, but there are lots more to choose from if that's not your thing. What do you think? To veil, or not to veil??

I've been debating over a veil. I was also considering the cage veil...but am worried it may be too "over" or seem dated in photos.
