The Royal Wedding: Bands Fit for a Prince and Princess
Posted by Melissa Colgan
Less than two months to go until Will and Kate’s big day!
At this point, the future Princess’s engagement ring has been well documented, but we're curious to see what kind of bands the couple will exchange. Will they be made with traditionally used Welsh gold and use a Welsh jeweler such as Clogau? Or will fashionable Kate go with something from a bigger jewelry house?
Here are a few of our picks for the couple. Let us know what you think!
1 The best rings, like the best love stories, are timeless. This platinum band by Cartier certainly fits that bill.
2 Kate’s engagement ring is definitely a stunner. To complement it, she might want to choose a platinum wedding band with brilliant-cut diamonds like this style from Tiffany.
3 The double millgrain of this Tiffany 6mm platinum wedding band gives this man’s band a royal edge.
4 For an Old World style, this Ritani Romantique eternity band features bezel-set diamonds and hand-carved leaves.
5 To play up her sapphire engagement ring, Kate should choose this Cartier band, set with diamonds and sapphires.
6 If William wants something fashion-forward, this Ritani men’s 6mm diamond wedding band features a satin finish and pairs of channel-set diamonds.
7 It's possible that Kate might want a band that she can wear on its own. This Harry Winston loop ring features 63 round brilliant diamonds in a platinum setting.
8 Since royal bands are traditionally made with Welsh gold, it's likely that the couple’s pair will come from Clogau. For the Prince, we love with this 5mm wedding band.
