I'd love to introduce you to A Deux -- a great Boston based stationery company that never repeats a design. Guess what that means? Each bride's invitation suite is uniquely her own and always will be. Check them out!
What's the biggest project you’ve had?
A fourth of July barn wedding called for an invitation that was partially carved into cedar, like lovers' initials in a tree. They couldn't be machine produced and still reflect the nuance and personality of knife gouging wood, so we did them all by hand. Aside from the splinters, it was an amazing challenge.
What inspires you?
Random niceties, those little details that usually go unnoticed, really do the trick for me. I'm in love with paper, nubby textiles, tiny boxes, silk charmeuse, haiku, all the shades of purple, peonies, the way new babies' heads smell, and really good but subtle graphic design.

A deux just did the invitations for my wedding. When I saw the first finished one, I actually gasped in astonishment. I knew they would be great, but didn't realize they would be THAT cool. The invitations took us from totally stressed out about the wedding to completely excited. Everything was perfect: the design, the paper, the stitching (which she did herself), even the typeface on the address label and the stamps she designed. She even took care of all of the assembly and mailing, which was a huge gift. If you have a wedding coming up, HIRE HER NOW.

I have been following A Deux's work for a while and they are the best of the best in the stationery industry. Book early because the designer is always slammed.

We were very fortunate to be one of the first couples that Kelli Parker (A Deux) ever designed a wedding invitation for. Kelli's brilliant work set the tone for our event. It was elegant, unique and very special. Two and half years after our wedding, we still have our wedding invitation preserved in a shadow box that hangs in our bedroom. It was one of the most memorable contributions to our special day.
