Fashion: Matthew Williamson Bridal Launch

Posted by

After a successful capsule collection of bridal gowns for Net-a-porter.com, Matthew Williamson has launched a full bridal line with twelve looks -- and bridesmaid dresses and bridal accessories will be coming soon! The collection includes something for everyone, from classic to beachy to modern, with details like hand-sewn embroidery, beading, and feathers. I love the fluted sleeves on some of the shorter dresses and the burnout silk technique incorporated on some of the longer styles. The geometrically beaded bodice on one style and the heavily beaded asymmetrical strap of another also feel like a natural progression for the designer, from the catwalk to the aisle. Scroll through the slideshow below to see all twelve gowns. What are your thoughts?

  • I absolutely adore that first little number. Knee length, long sleeves, all the sparkle you could ask for. But what I really want to know is where did they get those shoes? I am on the search for the perfect pair of nude heels for my wedding and have not found anything that blows me away without blowing the bank. Any ideas?
