Found Vintage Rentals is so inspiring: Owner Jeni Maus has a passion for helping her clients infuse their weddings with style, personality, and fun through vintage furniture and accessories.
Put these great tips, straight from Jeni, to good use.
1. Think outside the cake table.
"Our brides and grooms have utilized everything from bookshelves with chipping paint and lots of texture to an antique dresser. Using ordinary pieces in not-so-ordinary ways adds character and creates a focal point with impact."
2. Connect with your past.
"Using your grandmother's vintage buffet table to display family photos or your mom's vanity as the ceremony altar can add a sense of history and family to your celebration. If you don't have heirloom furniture, rent pieces that remind you of your childhood or a special family member."
3. Lounge around.
"Consider using old lounge furniture or love seats to add personality and flair to your reception. In the past, our clients have used mismatched vintage pieces to lend the space color and homey warmth. It helps encourage mingling, conversation, and relaxation, too."

I love these ideas. I'm getting married in September and I'm all about the vintage shabby chic decor! I'm going to go through my mother's antique plates to serve appetizers to our guests.
