Event Design: A Great Itinerary

Posted by

I enjoy traveling for destination weddings -- they are some of my favorite events to design.

One very important detail that needs to be considered as you plan a destination wedding is the itinerary for your guests. Remember, they are traveling many hours, taking days off work, and rearranging their schedules and responsibilities to make it to your big day. A great selection of activities to enjoy before the wedding day is a wonderful way to show your appreciation.

One of my destination weddings clients recently planned a series of pilates and yoga classes for her friends. They all enjoyed a good workout (and a couple of laughs) before hitting the beach or pitching in with last-minute to-dos. The groom organized golf outings for his friends as well.

Flip flops and mats awaited the bride's friends at the pilates and yoga studio.

Here, the groom and his guys enjoy some golf on the green.

A little beach time, complete with a cocktail, was a great option for everyone.

Are you planning a destination wedding? Please share your fun ideas for entertaining your guests!
