The Royal Wedding: The Registry

Posted by

As Kate and William continue the preparations for their royal wedding, I figured I'd share some of my ideas for their registry, or "wedding lists" as they're commonly in the United Kingdom.

Since famed photographer Mario Testino took their engagement photos -- they'll no doubt have some fabulous snapshots from their big day, too -- they'll need plenty of great picture frames in which to display them. I have long been a fan of the huge selection at Pottery Barn. Another nice option is this set from The Conran Shop.

Back in 1981, President Reagan gifted Prince Charles and Lady Diana with a crystal bowl from Steuben. The crystal manufacturer continues to make beautiful pieces, and their Bubble Decanter is one of my favorites. It would be a wonderful addition to any bar.

The sapphire stunner on Kate's left ring finger inspired me to choose this deep-blue Wedgwood "Renaissance Gold" china pattern for their royal table.

Since the couple has announced there won't be any servants in their new abode, they're going to need quality cookware like this 10-piece set of All-Clad stainless steel.

Finally, the humanitarian duo should register for charity donations: Changing the Present offers more than 1,500 organizations to choose from.
