People.com just reported that the save-the-dates for the royal wedding have gone out to friends and family. But if you, like me, were expecting creamy card stock with elegant calligraphy, you're in for a big surprise: Queen Elizabeth supposedly sent them out via fax (yes, as in beeeeeeeeeeeep. beeeeep. beepbeepbeepbeep...).
And they're not the only royals who are down with technology. Prince Alexander and Princess Catherine of Serbia have already RSVP'd -- on their website! (An unusual move, because a save-the-date doesn't require a response). It's definitely a break from tradition. What are your thoughts?

Good for them for doing something different! Maybe it had some really eye catching graphics?

I would have preferred the creamy card stock and elegant calligraphy over a fax. Even a Facebook invite! haha

Hmm, I don't like it. If I were being invited to a royal wedding I'd want all the fancy stationary to show for it!

Actually, Charles and Diana's save-the-dates were simply typed on plain paper. It wasn't a gorgeous typewriter font, either. It looked like a manual typewriter with Courier!
