Once we had the stationery down for our country-themed wedding shoot, I found an image of a Martha Stewart wedding cake that inspired me.

It would have been perfect as shown, but I wanted baker Cheryl Kleinman to interpret the cake, in addition to the stationery and the handkerchief, in her own way. This is what she came up with.

I love that she took the oval shape from the menu card (see below) and used it as a repeating pattern around the cake. She also utilized the floral design from our table numbers to create her clean, simple blossom motif.
Cheryl took the time to closely interpret the inspirations we provided, but she but also gave it her own spin with flair and style. That’s what makes a wedding special, I think.

I loved this post! So nice to see how one is inspired by the covers of a magazine and then to create something similar but personalised! LOVELY CAKE!

We love that so many of our brides interpret the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings and we can't help doing it all the time, too!
