An Inside Look at Martha's Wedding Show

Posted by

Yesterday's wedding show was packed with fun ideas, talented guests, and an all-bride audience! You can of course watch the links on our TV site, but I definitely had some favorite parts. . . .

The band, Carte Blanche, was amazing, and the fabulous Peter Callahan reinvented the buffet, making it look modern and chic. I also loved David Stark's fun tabletop display that anyone can do since it's decorated with downloadable clip art and fresh flowers. This "Details" segment also featured many great highlights from the magazine, plus more! I talked about the customizable Hanky Panky bridal underwear -- you can add rhinestone initials or words. Think it's weird that I told Martha Stewart that I'm getting her a pair?

Another huge plus was having Oscar de la Renta on set to give us a peek at his loveliest wedding gowns (he's just as chic, elegant, and stylish as his designs). They were gorgeous.

Check out the gallery to see moments from the show as well as Oscar's pretty, pretty dresses!

Oscar was also full of tips and shared loads of fun stories, although he did tell brides to not bring their mothers dress shopping. Hmm . . . obviously, he's never met my mom.

How about you? Have you dress-shopped with your mother? If the answer is no, tell her Oscar said it's okay.
