A recent trip to New York Central Art Supply reminded me how much fun it is to get lost in the world of paper. Perusing racks of different patterned, textured, and embellished versions can provide endless inspiration for color palettes, invitations, and decor.
After purchasing glassine, foil metallic, and gampi sheets for an upcoming shoot, I revisited our own paper stock at the offices.
The photo gallery below contains my favorite findings.
1 At New York Central, visitors can peruse papers by their origin and style. I chose some handmade Japanese gampi for an upcoming shoot.
2 These mother-of-pearl papers are gorgeous.
3 Here, gampi paper in a range of colors.
4 Here, New York Central's foil offerings.
5 Their range of metallic gold sheets was impressive.
6 I loved the interesting textures of these papers.
7 Bright and cute, these Swiss dots are classic.
8 Our office's paper files are no New York Central, but still, our white, cream, yellow, and orange selection is quite extensive.
9 My picks: Sheets in copper and embossed silver foil, pink faux bois, fun prints, and solids in both matte and hi-glosses.
