Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater was on stage at the Rivini show -- so much fun! Rivini's collection is "inspired by the unstructured style of Monet's gardens at Giverny." The Fall 2011 designs are a sea of diaphanous silk organzas and tulles. The bias draping and hand-pleating are a nice contrast to the soft handcrafted flowers. Designer Rita Vinieris says "the delicate softness of the season is contrasted with Chantilly laces, a touch of black, and the luminescence of crystals and pearls. A sense of couture effortlessness."
