Lately, it seems like everywhere I turn, wham -- bright red lipstick: on TV, in magazines, on the subway I take to work, on the baristas at my neighborhood coffee shop. Even the crazy lady on my corner has been sporting a glamorous shade of scarlet. I wouldn't say it's a trend, per se, because red lips have always been classic. But women are definitely rediscovering it.
That said, the verdict is still out among brides. Some say it's too much, that they might regret it in a few years when they're looking back at their pictures. Others say bring it on -- it makes them feel pretty and polished and romantic, and that's all that matters. Which brings me to my all-important question: Will you be wearing it on your wedding day?

I am getting married this coming Saturday and I am sporting red lips! It looks classic--red lips, like the perfect little black dress, NEVER goes out of style.

My fiance and brother HATE red lipstick. They think it makes girls look like clowns. Personally, I think some ladies pull it off brilliantly, but it's definitely not for me.
It's so high maintenance! You can kiss or eat without constantly reapplying it~

I am planning on wearing red lipstick on my wedding day, but it should be said that red lipstick is my unofficial trademark-- I wear it all the time. I do not think your wedding day is the time to try something new and different; you should look like the prettiest version of you. If you don't normally wear red lipstick, I would skip it on such a big day, but if you are like me and wear it regularly, it is certainly a part of your personality and you should rock it!
I do plan on test driving several different shades before the big day so I use the most low-maintenance and lasting shade. Like Dessert Darling said, it can be high-maintenance, but I am high-maintenance, so... I guess it's fitting I like it so much.

If it looks good on you I'd say "go for it."
Red lips look just plain HORRID on me. I can't pull it off at all, so I'll be going with a more natural hue.

I can't believe the red is back. I would never wear a red lipstick ever. It attracts all of the attention to lips, what about the rest of the face or body? I would wear a toned down red to highlight the lips and look good in the picture.

I'm definitely going for red lips. I love them, and they are very classy. I had an 80 year old lady at my church say she liked red lips, and they've been fashionable ever since she was in high school! If it has the old-lady stamp of approval, then I feel even better about it.
But I do also wear red lipstick often. Make sure you look like YOU on your wedding day, or you'll regret it and it might even freak your groom out (like one couple I know)!

I'm the maid of honor in my sisters wedding and I don't know if I should wear red lipstick... It's definitely my style and it would match my red cowgirl boots that I'll be wearing. She said she doesn't care what my makeup looks like, and it's a very non-traditional ceremony. Is it innapropreate for the maid of honor to wear red lips on the big day?
