With so much going on and so many people to see, guests can easily miss the key events of your reception. Update them on the major happenings (your arrival as Mr. & Mrs., the cake cutting, the first dance) by asking young guests to raise descriptive paper flags at the right time. They'll be happy with the big responsibility, and your guests will be glad not to miss a thing.
Download the PDF file, and print onto medium weight 11 x 17 inch colored paper. Make a triangle by cutting from both corners of the short end to the exact center of the paper (to get a straight line, use a craft knife and metal ruler).
Paint a half-inch dowel to match your paper. The paint will seal the wood to prevent splinters and create a polished look. Attach the wide end of the flag to the dowel with double sided tape, and tie on a ribbon bow.
