Stationery Inspiration: Salon walls

Posted by

As an admitted Francophile, I've always been a fan of salon-style walls. Never heard of one? It's a gallery of a wall, like an art exhibit that you make yourself. (In France, salon hanging means putting several holes in a wall.) They give you the chance to display lots of different framed objects in one place and create a focal point for a room, but I think you should take it one step further and use it to extend the life of your wedding stationery and ephemera.

Pictured below is a shot from my friend Randi's apartment. Among other beautiful items, she's displayed the ketubah (the square item framed with a fantastic wide white matte) from her wedding and the receipt from her grandmother's bridal bouquet. I think it's just perfect. Take a look at the gallery below for some more inspirational iterations of how you could create salon walls in your own home.
