Inspiration: Gray and Yellow

Posted by

Yellow can sometimes be larger than life, but paired with gray -- the "it" color of the moment -- you've got a seriously sophisticated summer wedding palette. The gray tempers yellow's brightness, whether it's a pale butter or a vibrant shade of canary. Below, the floral centerpiece of yellow mums and dusty miller makes a soft yet dramatic statement, as do the small hits of gray here and there, like the satin sash on Jim Hjelm's dress and soft gray necklace by Prismera.

What pop of color are you using for you big day?

  • I dig this palate in general, I just worry I'll look back at my wedding pictures in ten years and it will look "totally 2010". It's great to look modern now, but who wants to look back at wedding pictures and cringe?
