This week, I'm bringing you another one of my homemade inspiration boards. This one is filled with travel-themed content and a subdued retro color palette.
For couples who love exploring the world, integrate well-traveled suitcases or old-school globes into your décor, or collect vintage postcards and “address” them to guests as place cards. Use the entire range of one color -- here, pink lends a light and airy feel that keeps the secondhand elements from making your reception feel like grandma’s attic -- paired with a soft cream for a polished effect perfect for springtime. A cake with delectable gossamer icing completes this dainty, vintage travel look.
Here's another take on the same theme. These full, romantic blossoms in dusty shades of pink and peach are perfect for a late summer wedding. Incorporate vintage travel posters in your invitations or décor -- bonus points if you can find ones advertising your wedding location -- to achieve the look and feel of a playful getaway.
What kinds of things are you turning to for inspiration?
