Last week I showed you a little bit of my planning process. This week, I wanted to share a few images that led up to the big moment, when Craig and I were getting ready with our friends and (mildly) freaking out about all the attention we were about to get -- or at least I was.
Here's a sneak peek of us on the morning of the wedding, as captured by the fantastic Steve Krongard and Jodi Buren. We decided to get dressed at Wainwright House, our beautiful wedding location in Rye, New York, so that we wouldn't wrinkle our dresses in transit. The ladies got ready in the main house while the guys got dressed in the carriage house on the property. (And click here for more info about weddings at Wainwright House).
1 i decided to wear a green and white pinstriped shirt so that i would match the palette of the bridesmaids dresses as they were getting ready. i know, it's a little overboard.
2 my sister leanna (maid of honor) sharing a laugh with annie.
3 here i am helping annie with her dress.
4 mom and leanna share a sweet moment.
5 leanna ties gina's kate spade necklace on.
6 the moms are ready. don't they look lovely?
7 the ladies help me in to my gown.
8 all of the bridesmaids carried kate spade clutches - not down the aisle, but for the rest of the day.
9 we decided to all wear different colored kate spade heels - here we are showing them off.
10 the ladies are ready!
1 here is craig getting ready.
2 ryan and craig sharing a laugh, presumably about craig's fantastic patterned ascot.
3 the three brothers help each other with their vests.
4 each groomsmen was given initial cufflinks - here justin is helping craig put on his C.
5 craig's dad showing off his cuff links.
6 the groom's final look.
If you're wondering how we ended up looking so put together, take a look at the album below of us getting our hair and make-up done at BHC Salon and Spa in Pleasantville, New York, captured by bridesmaid Jaclyn Wohl. Lending her make-up expertise was the talented Suzette Lemos (makeupbysuzette@yahoo.com), who did a great job making us all look so pretty!
1 Annie and Gina setting out breakfast at BHC Salon and Spa. We had a pretty relaxing morning.
2 Amanda starting to do my hair.
3 Suzette doing Leanna's make-up.
4 Mary doing Gina's hair.
5 Sophia finishing Jackie's hair.
6 Suzette doing my make-up.
7 Amanda making sure my hair will stay in place all day. I HATE hairspray but she used a special kind that actually smells nice!
8 me and the ladies pose with Amanda - all hair and make-up is done!
Next week, I'll have the how-to for my guest book. Stay tuned!

Where is your dress from!?

It's an Amsale which I purchased at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City. It was originally floor length but I had it shortened to tea length.

I was an honored guest.
This part of the wedding day I missed and was so pleased to share that part of the day.
It brought back memories of a beautiful day.
