With Carrie and Jayson's wedding all wrapped up, I thought I'd write about one of my favorite topics: inspiration boards. There's no easier way to come up with a complete, coherent concept for your wedding, and it can be fun compiling all the bits and pieces of inspiration. Here's one I created for a client who wanted an elegant, black and white affair with a touch of blue.
If you love the refinement of black and white but want to infuse your wedding with a bit more youthful cheer, consider adding light blue as an accent color. You could use this symbol of purity and fidelity in table settings, your bridesmaids’ dresses -- pick a light fabric for movement and an ethereal feel -- or the ribbon of your bouquet. Choose a gown with flirtatious ruffles, or something softer and flowing, and you’ll have the makings of a perfectly sophisticated wedding by the sea.
What's going on your inspiration board?

Having an inspiration board has really helped me to keep focussed on my theme and 'the look' of our wedding. If I had to choose one word to describe our theme, it would be vintage. The link below will take you to my inspiration board on my blog.
