Chelsea Wedding Watch: The Dress

Posted by

There's lots of buzz surrounding the impending nuptials of Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky, so much, in fact, that we're speculating about the details right here on the Bride's Guide for the next couple months. In our first post, we talked about a possible location for the star-studded affair; today we're dishing about the dress.

What will she wear? My money is on something modern yet classic by Oscar de la Renta, like this dress, since we know that he's one of Hillary Clinton's favorite designers. Of course, she'd probably have it custom made without the blue lining.

Or maybe she'll like this dress by Carolina Herrera.

Or maybe she'll go with this pretty Lela Rose. Which one do you think would look best on Chelsea?

  • We are thinking the lela rose out of those : ) Totally can envision her in that although they are all so beautiful...Cant wait to see what she really does wear

  • I am in love with that Oscar de la Renta gown! And, I would totally wear it WITH the blue lining - fabulous! I can't seem to find it anywhere though. What collection is it in?

On the one hand, evidence shows that if you're a celebrity, your wedding gown is pretty much bound to be designed by Vera (Jennifer Lopez, Ivanka Trump, and Jessica Simpson all walked down the aisle in Vera originals); on the other hand, we were all convinced the designer of choice would be Oscar de la Renta, a favorite of the bride's mother. [...]

  • Nope, Chelsea is going to wear Oscar de la Renta!!
As am I! Excellent taste, Chelsea! :)

  • I am in love with that Oscar de la Renta gown!
