So last night was THE wedding. Once we decided to do the ceremony by the beach, and the reception on the beach, it was time to get it all set up. The breeze made it so it wasn't too hot and everything came out great. Here are a few snapshots, but you'll have to wait til our destination weddings issue to see the full wedding.
Liz with her beauty dream team: Daisy and Jerami
from Paul Labrecque Salon.
The duo was on hand for any touch ups but did such a great in the first place that only minimal touch ups were necessary -- the normal ones caused by happy tears and the wind. By the way, don't forget to discuss with your hair and makeup artists how long they'll be at your wedding for, in case you need them to re-apply some makeup or fix your hair once your veil comes off post ceremony. It's a smart idea to sort out having them stay a little longer than you'd think. At least until a bit after the ceremony.
Katie Berry and I help Liz bustle her dress.
Don't forget to bring someone who will be at your wedding to your final dress fitting, this way, you'll be sure to have someone who knows how to bustle your dress. Maybe choose a friend, since your mom will most likely be busy greeting family and friends during the cocktail hour and might be so overwhelmed with emotion that she might not be able to remember how to do it.
1 Liz wore her hair in a low, loose chignon held together with a healthy dose of hairspray. She also donned earrings by Jennifer Miller to add some sparkle. Good costume jewelry is great for traveling to destinations.
2 Here's a fabric flower by Sara Gabriel. The bloom's sparkly center has a glamorous feeling that is a great option if you're looking for an extra special touch at your wedding. If you're getting married where it's humid, you might want to consider a faux flower for longevity.
3 A lovely shot of the beach. The water here really is greenish blue and deserving of its Emerald Bay name.
5 Photographer Mikkel Vang and style director Katie Berry toast to the bride and groom and the completion of our photo shoot.
We want to thank the team at Sandals, without them, we couldn't have pulled off the beautiful wedding that we did. The collaboration between the Sandals team, the Martha Stewart Weddings team, and the couple, was a great one and we created a stunning and personal wedding.
And we have even more details and behind the scene shots coming tomorrow and Sunday. Make sure to check back with us here on the blog for even more photos!

My husband, Bradley and I, were at Sandals during the event and met the bride - Cary and Scout and family. We had the privilege of riding on the plane with the "crew" back to Miamai. What a thrill - what a beautiful location, wedding, everything!! Our daughter Maria is getting married in 3 weeks so we picked up some great "tips"!!! So glad to share the experience.
