I can't believe I didn't know about Sir sooner. Designer Joanna Baum creates deconstructed dresses inspired by French style, vintage design, and all things bias cut. These silk gowns with pops of color are perfect for bridesmaid dresses, but don't just take my word for it: Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams are among her chic clientele. Her shop is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, but you can check out her website for a listing of stores that carry her designs or to shop online.
What will your bridesmaids be wearing down the aisle?

I love these dresses! I love the simplicity of the style mixed with the bold colors. It makes for a very nice aesthetic...very appealing to my senses.

These pieces and others look so great in person, and fit amazingly well across body types. Also really easy and casual to deal with for quality, NYC-made dresses that are a cinch to order online or via phone with the boutique. We all went in to the store as a party, had brunch beforehand in the neighborhood got to pick our styles, sizes, and color (over 100 choices), paid, and then had everything shipped without any other worries. We had plenty of time for the order, but in some instances they can turn orders around in two weeks since everything is locally made!
