Expert Advice: Martin Katz

Posted by

When it comes to wedding day jewelry, Martin Katz, creator of vintage-inspired jewels and exquisite engagement rings, knows his stuff. His stunning pieces have been featured both in the pages of our magazine and on major stars on the red carpet (think Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum, and Salma Hayek), and we're always eager to see what he'll do next. This week, we're so lucky to have Martin available to lend his advice on wedding day jewelry, engagement rings, and wedding bands, so send us your questions by this Wednesday in the comments section of this post, and I'll add them to my list for Martin. Then check back here Friday for the answers!

  • My question for Mr. Katz--

My e-ring is a very simple and classic three stone platinum ring (round brilliants). I want to find a wedding band that enhances but does not detract from the glitter that the e-ring already provides. The only option I have seen is totally on the other end of the spectrum--i.e. a plain band. I want something a bit more detailed, but so that it coordinates, not competes, and something I could wear alone and it still provide some interest. Thank you very much for your time!

  • Mr. Katz,

My engagement ring is an emerald cut in a basket cage setting and I don't think I'll be able to wear my wedding band on the same finger (because the setting extends at the base) Do you prefer the wedding band and engagement ring to be worn together no matter what? I find those bands that dip to fit the diamond a little odd, what are your thoughts?

    Thank You!

  • Your topic gives me a good advice.
Kind of person who is thoroughly spandex zentai , they go out to all parties from all dressed in such a tight, between friends, family members have reached a consensus to accept such behavior, and not surprised. And the other with the same face of pressure from family and friends, only to zentai suits as their own home alone, at first may have been Spider costume or superman costumes for the design of this attractive, but once the person tried such clothes, they can not do without such a body-conscious comfort.

  • I always find it is difficult to but a fit one.
