I love -- LOVE! -- when a runway look turns into an actual trend (because let's face it -- a lot of what we see on the runway is purely aspirational, and should never see the light of day). The messy side braid, which first popped up at the Alexander Wang Spring 2010 collection, is a perfect example of something that looked fresh and striking on the runway -- and just as fresh and striking in reality. It's contemporary and romantic, and perfectly imperfect. I love it for a super casual wedding.

Ironically... I'm currently wearing a messy side-braid. It's perfect for a pretty, casual hairstyle.
