Bridal Market: St. Pucchi

Posted by

Last month I told you about my fun lunch with St. Pucchi designer Rani Totman in LA, and how she was gearing up to show her next collection. Well, this morning I saw the dreamy, dramatic gowns she's been working on, and they didn't disappoint! St. Pucchi's 2010 collections are inspired by Europe's finest art and architecture, fitting since Rani says she finds inspiration through her travels.

She places emphasis on corsets and structured bodices -- a nice balance to the fullness of her dramatic skirts and grand silhouettes. Even the dresses with less volume still have that sense of drama and grandeur. She's paired the heavier looks with airy and lighter fabrics: lace with silk organdy, satin with ricamo net. And, by the way, she showed some amazing veils to adorn these gowns, too.
