Behind the Scenes: Picking Out a Wedding Band

Posted by

After Liz and Colin were done with their fittings at Kleinfeld we headed uptown for a special trip to the Kwiat store on Madison Avenue. What a beautiful store -- even aside from of course what's IN it!!! Colin's mom passed away so he has his mom's ring to give to Liz which is incredibly meaningful and special. So when we made our trip to Kwiat we were shopping for him (although from the looks of what's in the window at Kwiat I'm sure Liz was envious.

In one of my previous posts I mentioned that the palette of the wedding is going to be silver/platinum accents with white. Well its not only because of the color that this classic platinum band seemed the best choice for Colin, but also because platinum is the most durable metal. If you engrave it, the engraving will not fade over the years, it's durable so it will hold up against day-to-day wear and tear, it's 95% pure so if you find yourself being allergic to other metals, this is the best option, and it really is the best quality for your money. Kwiat is also known for craftsmanship and fine quality diamonds, and like everything for Liz and Colin -- at Martha Stewart Weddings we strive for timeless, quality, value, and mementos that begin at your wedding and can be passed down for generations.

  • The durability quality is very appealing. As is the non allergy factor. I find so many people react to different metals.

  • Liz and Colin a wedding band is a big decision, i would have also considered having a simple DJ that knows all the best wedding music.
