You got your first look at Alexis and Stephen's wedding in the clouds yesterday.
And while this is technically a follow-up, I wanted to go back to just before the wedding and share some fun photos from their rehearsal dinner, also courtesy of photographer Angie Wilson.
Alexis used her creativity to put together a great event to welcome all of the guests to the destination wedding weekend. Guests gathered at Lynn Britt Cabin that night, for a casual and fun gathering. Everyone (all 65 of the couple's guests were invited) took jeeps up with guides from Blazing Adventures to the cabin. The scenic ride offered guests a great view of Aspen and Snowmass. A musician singing country songs and the setting sun added atmosphere. "Coming down at night on the jeeps in the dark with all the gorgeous stars in the sky was unforgettable," says Alexis.
1 Alexis wanted a real up-in-the-mountains cook-out feeling that was totally different from the actual wedding.
2 Vintage images of Aspen served as escort cards.
3 Rustic table numbers helped guests find their seats.
4 Bandana napkins and tablecloths decorated the space. The bandanas came from Bandana Man (Bandanaman.com)
5 A trail mix bar was set up for guests so they would have snacks for their hikes. It was a big hit.
6 Granola and yogurt-covered raisins were some of the trail mix options.
7 Guests scooped their trail mix into baggies that were printed with bandana patterns.
8 Chocolate-covered pretzels and strawberries were also available to sweeten up the trail mix bar.
9 Stephen and Alexis enjoyed toasts and speeches given by their guests.
10 Lynn Britt Cabin handled the menu for the evening.
11 A white backdrop was set up on the porch, and guests took impromptu snapshots, with some humorous props.
12 Everyone stopped by to take some candid snapshots.
13 Alexis says this was her favorite element of the evening.

What a beautiful wedding and there are some amazing ideas in this gallery! I adore the trail mix bar and the prop backdrop is one of the best ideas I've heard of yet! What a fun way to remember the evening and allow your guests to really make the candids their own. Fun!

I agree! We love reading about fresh and outdoor ideas like this. With the weather warming up, it means brides and planners get to take advantage of the natural romance and laid back feeling of being under the open sky. Just gorgeous!
