Our Pink Show

Posted by

Like the palette of our Spring issue, our wedding hour on the MARTHA last week was all about pink. So here are some fun ideas to get you started planning your wedding.

All weddings begin with a palette. Lucky for us Pantone and Dessy have teamed up to launch Pantone Wedding. You can order color swatch cards in 194 colors, then send them to your florist, bridesmaids, etc., so they can coordinate the colors and make a picture perfect match. The program also matches all Dessy dresses to your selected colors.

We had a few gorgeous dresses on hand, including a Peter Langner gown, as well as the Dessy dress from my editor's letter. And we also had lots of beautiful pink details: Inticing Creations recreated Eunice Moyle’s cake in our palette, and Eunice herself (from our favorite stationery company Hello Lucky) made the adorable personalized cake topper.

We also featured some favor ideas. Look at the fun favor boxes by D. Sharp, I especially love the ones that are the favors that keep giving.

Last we showed a beautiful shower table set up by Belle Fleur, the event designers who planned the bridal shower of Ashley Wolff And master calligrapher and stationer Bernard Maisner created dragonfly place cards. Enjoy!

  • The dresses are lovely. I'm thinking of a rich pink in my wedding: I've been looking at photos of Asiatic Lilies. I love that raspberry color.

  • Pink is really a lady color. It gives more vibrance to the bride.

  • I loved the (Ballet) Pink themed issue...beautifully done.
