It's officially spring, and I'm obsessed with the weather we've been enjoying in NYC since that crazy storm two weekends ago. So how better to celebrate spring than with a pretty pink and green color palette that sends up the season's beauty. Of course, this combination sometimes screams preppy weekend in Palm Beach or baby nursery, but these colors can be supremely elegant when used the right way!
I LOVE this shot of a bride boasting a gorgeous hat instead of a veil. Combined with a large, blooming fuchsia peony, it's a great example of how pink can be romantic and elegant, not girly and innocent. This ring pillow is made less sweet and more sophisticated thanks to sage green and an unexpected touch of peach (which also happens to be in the pink family). Or try adorning your tent with fun evergreen swags -- a lovely entrance way for an otherwise generic reception tent. Need an idea for your younger guests? Fill a box with goodies as seen here -- it’s sure to make even the young at heart smile.
