Despite the insane snow storms we've been having, Spring is right around the corner (fingers crossed!). And while there aren't very many flowers to go around these days, that doesn't mean you can't be inspired by them for your winter wedding. So I thought I'd dedicate today's post to finding creative ways for using paper and fabric in a spring color palette.
I LOVE these vintage botanical stamps. They could easily inspire a whole wedding themselves and would be a lovely detail to add to a stationery suite. Or what about the playfulness of these seating cards? I love the mixture of colored paper combined with calligraphy. Need a clever way to package your flatware? Look no further than these ingenious packets for each guest. I’m always a fan of a clever monogram. This one, from the kate spade paper line, is both cheeky and sophisticated. A monogram like this one could be a lovely way to thread elements of your wedding together (engraved cufflinks anyone?). Thinking of wearing a bloom in your hair? Fret-not. The flower seen here is fabric, and you can make it yourself (see the link below)!
And here's the palette laid out for you. As you can see, opposites DO attract. Add a playful font like clarendon and your party is sure to be a smash. What do you think about this unexpected color palette?
