Fashion: Diamond In The Rough Engagement Rings

Posted by Sherri Caudell Brennan

Here's something new. Diamond In The Rough launched their bridal collection this Fall, and there has been an amazing response from brides. They use rough diamonds, which are natural, uncut, and unpolished to create one-of-a-kind (literally, since each diamond varies slightly) pieces for brides. I love the bands with "green and white" and "multi-colored" diamonds, adding a pop of color to their platinum bands.

Check out the slideshow below and start deciding on the unique style that's perfect for you.

  • Although not all of them are really my style, they are ALL unique to say the least. The colorful stones will surely make these rings stand out.

They are definitely beautiful in their own right, even if they are not my style.

  • They are definitely unique and the right statement for the right couple. There is a certain amount of symbolism that could be attached to the diamonds, in that they may reflect something more true to nature, and a beginning. I agree with Ritani, not all were my style, but there were one or 2 that were possibles.

  • Wow - I love these rough colored diamonds!! I've been hinting to my boyfriend that a colored diamond is the way to make me happy lol, i think he is starting to get it. anyway i also found some beautiful colored diamonds on a website called http://www.fancydiamonds.net - between these roughs and the fancydiamonds site, i tell myself my dream diamond has got to be out there! :)

  • I'm a big fan of rough colored diamonds, and each one is unique, so I hope that this is one trend that will grow! I am currently having a custom rough diamond engagement ring made, and I predict that more and more jewelers will be creating rough diamond pieces.

  • [...] Rough brand rings in a Neiman Marcus catalog and fell in love. (Their rings appeared in March on The Brides Guide Martha Stewart Weddings Blog.) Searching the Diamond in the Rough site, I discover that their only local retailer is Wilkes [...]

  • These really do look very beautiful!! I found another site that sells these colored diamonds http://www.serendiamonds.com. I will check out the one that Katie mentions too. I only recently started thinking of a colored diamond instead of the traditional colorless diamond. I have always been one for having something different to my friends :-)
