Event Planning: Luxury in Nashville

Posted by

During a recent trip through a few beautiful Southern states I discovered one of Nashville's treasures, The Hermitage Hotel. It's the only Mobil Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond hotel in Tennessee, and the perfect spot for a luxurious, classic wedding in Nashville or the surrounding area. The Beaux-arts style hotel officially opened in September 17, 1910, and is named for Andrew Jackson's Hermitage estate. It is also one of only six Mobil Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond hotels in the nation that has reached its 100th year!

I enjoyed a cup of tea with Janet Kurtz, the director of sales and marketing, and she shared a few secrets about the hotel. The food provided by their restaurant is absolutely delicious, and they are currently working on a new collaboration with local farmers to bring more seasonal, locally grown food to every meal served at the hotel. The current menu and catering options offer a chic and sophisticated blend of Southern-inspired dishes with a contemporary and elegant edge. And the amenities are superb for any guest, especially for anyone hosting their wedding at the Hermitage. The ballroom is ornate, grand, and opulent. And the rooms are classic, luxurious, beautiful and stocked full of Molton Brown products -- one of my personal favorites! They also offer spa services such as a great massage before your big day!

If you live in Nashville or the surrounding area and you're planning your wedding, definitely consider the Hermitage. The combination of southern charm and classic, five-star luxury make for a wonderful experience. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Here are a few images of the hotel but you can see much more on the Hermitage site.
