Blah color getting you down? Time to reach for a color-depositing shampoo and conditioner! My absolute favorite line in this market is Alchemist System by Davines. They're on the pricey side, but so worth it—you use them only when you need a hue boost, so they last and last and last!
There are six shades available: golden for warm blond, silver for cool blond, copper for warm red, red for cool red, tobacco for light brown, and chocolate for dark brown and black. They do a really great job of brightening your color and adding tons and tons of shine, which is perfect for in-between salon visits. Also, and this is really great, they work wonders if you dye your hair at home and screw up. Say you're dying your hair blond, and it comes out a little too golden for your taste—just wash and condition with Silver to neutralize the brassy tones. Genius!
