I’m a sucker for top 10 lists. I know that rankings aren’t commandments, but I do so love it when someone’s taken the time to whittle down the world to digestible, actionable bits. The 10 things you need for happiness? Sign me up. The 10 products that will make me look like Angelina Jolie? Get me to Sephora now!
Which is why I did a little happy jig when I found this story from Coastal Living. “Top 10 Romantic Island Inns.” All of the hideaways are relatively close to home (no marathon flights to Southeast Asia here), picturesque, intimate, secluded, and pretty darn romantic. Here are pics of Petit St. Vincent, a small island in the Caribbean that boasts 22 oceanside cottages. The dreamy inn, of course, tops their list. Oh, please, please, let me win the lottery so that I can book a stay here.

I've been to the MacKaye Harbor Inn on Lopez Island, Washington. It's wonderful, the owners are great, the whole island is quiet, beautiful, friendly and secluded. It's one of those places where people wave to you as you drive by. You can use their kayaks and it's wonderful kayaking. The water is very peaceful and calm and you may even be lucky enough to see some whales or seals. You'll for sure be able to see some beautiful colored starfish. If you want more life and action Orcas Island has a lot to do and it's just a short ferry ride away. I loved my stay there with my husband before we were married and would go back again in a heart beat.
